Just a quick post as lots to do :)

It’s been a good week – Chinese New Year at the Tuesday Club was brilliant. They made Chinese lanterns, played Chinese themed games, cleaned copper coins with vinegar and salt, painted Chinese pictures and had a Chinese story. Thanks to Elaine for the pictures :)

The dragon dance.

Using chopsticks to pick up jelly beans

Afterwards, we met Caroline, Tom and Martha at Funtasticz soft play. The kids had fun and it was lovely to catch up with Caroline :)

Shoe shopping for H on Wednesday. She has gone up half a size to 9.5F, Alfie is still 11F. It was a complete nightmare as she refused every pair and really tried the poor lady’s patience (not to mention mine!) before ending up with a pair identical to her old ones :-/ Still, at least it’s job done for a while, and she only had three more public meltdowns on the way back to the car ;) We bought lots of fruit and a magazine each on the way back, so the afternoon was spent doing magazines. Alfie whizzes through his in no time now -  a bigger challenge needed methinks! He has discovered lots of fab maths games sites linked through from Usborne (he has their See Inside Maths book) which he is currently loving. He found the year 1 ones too easy so moved up to the year 2 ones, before discovering an even better website with loads of maths themed games.

Off to gym bounce later. He loves that class. It was so nice when I went down to collect him at the end and overheard one of the coaches telling the mom of a new boy (who had got himself in trouble with a couple of the more challenging kids there) that she was putting him in a group with Alfie from now on as he’s the best behaved of them all. She gave him a high five for being such a star at the end too, which made him so proud. A good advert for home educated kids :)

On Thursday a fab day at the Public with Elaine, Jacob and Jess :) H took some photos ;)

In the evening I had a lovely curry and chat with my best mate Bex :)

On Friday a quieter day of crafts, games and chores. Nanny and Grandad came round in the afternoon. They also looked after the big kids on Saturday whilst I had my MRI scan at Solihull Hospital. That was a weird experience, but not too unbearable. Just loud and bizarre!

Today we went to Sea Life Centre to get our half price Merlin passes. Amber loved it. Fish are her favourite ;) Holly and I went into the 4D cinema to watch Happy Feet too. Afterwards, lunch at Pizza Express by the canal. Amber did her usual standing up constantly and leaping out of high chairs, but it was still great to go for a family lunch :) I love my family :) :)
